The Consortium Partners

The members of the consortium form a partnership that studies and investigates the possible development of a large-scale, sustainable European energy supply system in the North Sea.


TenneT Germany and TenneT Netherlands

TenneT is a leading European electricity transmission system operator (TSO) with its main activities in the Netherlands and Germany. With 22,500 kilometres of high-voltage connections we ensure a secure supply of electricity to 41 million end-users. We employ approximately 3,000 people, have a turnover of EUR 3.2 billion and an asset value totalling EUR 20.3 billion. TenneT is one of Europe's major investors in national and cross-border grid connections on land and at sea, bringing together the Northwest European energy markets and enabling the energy transition.  We make every effort to meet the needs of society by being responsible, engaged and connected.

Energinet is an independent public enterprise owned by the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy. We own, operate and develop the transmission systems for electricity and natural gas in Denmark. Our vision is a balanced and sustainable energy supply. We will work to develop tomorrow's energy supply while the green transition is being implemented. In cooperation with the energy sector, we will find ways of producing reliable and sustainable energy which is also good business for Danish society.



Gasunie is a European gas infrastructure company. We provide the transport of natural gas and green gas in the Netherlands and the Northern part of Germany.


Port of Rotterdam

The objective of the Port of Rotterdam Authority is to enhance the port’s competitive position as a logistics hub and world-class industrial complex. Not only in terms of size, but also with regard to quality. The core tasks of the Port Authority are to develop, manage and exploit the port in a sustainable way and to render speedy and safe services for shipping. It is the Port Authority’s ambition to play a pioneering role in the global energy transition, making this area a frontrunner, fieldlab and flagship of the energy transition.
