Watch digital event: Unlocking the potential of the North Sea
To meet the climate challenges that face our world we must dare to go beyond the conventional solutions. And at North Sea Wind Power Hub (consortium of Energinet, Gasunie and TenneT), we believe that a solution is at hand.
The North Sea is an offshore wind powerhouse. A powerhouse that, if harnessed, can revolutionise the energy infrastructure of North-West Europe, push the boundaries of wind power utility and accelerate the green transition immensely. If countries come together, we can take the ambitious steps required to meet the goals of the future. And North Sea Wind Power Hub has been working hard at identifying how we can harness the massive wind power potential of the North Sea in the most effective, efficient and sustainable way.
We want to invite you to join us for a discussion of the future of energy in North-West Europe and how – through cooperation – we can find and develop solutions for achieving the 2050 emissions goals. And we want to update you on the work North Sea Wind Power Hub has been doing in looking at how such a solution could take shape and present a report with our latest findings. MEP and Vice-chair of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) Morten Helveg Petersen will share insights from the EP group working on the response to the offshore renewable strategy.
